Content marketing is the process of creating useful or entertaining information that is pushed out through various methods such as social media, to your email subscribers or simply for Google users to search and find that information.
Now ‘marketing content’ can take many forms, it could be a written blog post, a video that you’ve created, an infographic or a cheat sheet. The list goes on.
Think of it this way, if you’ve created something that you believe will be of value to your potential audience and it creates a positive light on your business, that’s ‘content’ and you’re using it to ‘market’ your business.
The goal of content marketing is that what you produce will be of value, it raises awareness, people will like it, perhaps share it, but they will find you via your content. It’s an inbound marketing method to get people to come to you as opposed to you trying to sell to them.
